Announcing Our Next Guest

TVW-CONNECTS is proud to announce our next guest:
Washington State Supreme Court Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis

Follow us on social media or tune in to TVW to catch the premier of CONNECTS with Justice Montoya-Lewis on December 14th at 8pm.

About Justice Montoya-Lewis

Justice Raquel Montoya-Lewis was appointed by Governor Inslee to the State Supreme Court in 2019, and she took the oath of office on January 6, 2020. Prior to her service on the State Supreme Court, she served as Chief Judge for the Lummi, Nooksack, and Upper Skagit tribes. This gave her a comprehensive understanding of issues affecting Native Americans and indigenous people in Washington state. Justice Montoya-Lewis is the first tribally enrolled member to sit on a State Supreme Court and the second Native American to sit on any State Supreme Court. To learn more about her, click here.

TVW-CONNECTS is a civics program inspiring youth engagement and civic participation. Students throughout Washington participate in a live Q&A over Zoom with elected officials, state leaders, and experts.
