Capitol Classroom Student Waiver
Participant Parents –
Your student is participating in Capitol Classroom, a free civic education program from Teach with TVW that connects students directly to Washington State’s legislative process. Through live Zoom sessions, students work with volunteer lobbyists, track real legislation, ask questions, and learn how citizens can engage effectively in government.
With your permission, Teach with TVW would like to capture photos and video of students during Capitol Classroom sessions and related programming. These images help us show what civic engagement looks like in real classrooms, students thinking critically, participating respectfully, and learning how their voices matter.
By opting in, you are helping:
- Showcase student learning and civic leadership across Washington
- Support the continued growth and funding of free civic education programs
- Provide an authentic picture of how students engage with democracy today
Images and recordings may be used on TVW, Teach with TVW websites, social media platforms, and other educational or promotional materials related to our civic education mission. We are committed to respectful, appropriate use of all student images and do not sell or license student content for commercial purposes.
If you choose not to opt in to media consent, your student may still participate fully in Capitol Classroom. In any event where photos or videos are shared publicly, your student’s face will be blurred or otherwise obscured to protect their privacy.
